The glamorous founder of an alleged “orgasm cult’’ faced Brooklyn federal court Thursday after being accused of grooming members into having sex with investors and clients for over a decade.
Nicole Daedone, who is accused of running OneTaste – a wellness company that promoted “orgasmic meditation” for women, made the brief appearance after pleading not guilty last year to a federal criminal charge of forced labor conspiracy.
Her former head of sales, Rachel Cherwitz, is also charged in the case.
During the procedural hearing, Judge Diane Gujarati sent a tentative trial date for the pair for Jan. 13 next year.
It comes after lawyers for the women submitted a motion last month in a bid to have the charges tossed – arguing the pair “remain in the dark” as to how they allegedly violated the law.
Prosecutors have alleged the duo ran the business like a cult by recruiting those who endured prior trauma with claims that they could fix their victims’ sexual dysfunction.

Then, Daedone and Cherwitz would allegedly force members and employees into debt and subjected them to “economic, sexual, emotional and psychological abuse” as well as “surveillance, indoctrination and intimidation” to get them to work for free, according to the indictment.
“In this alleged forced labor case, the indictment fails to identify either the “force” or the “labor” purportedly involved,” the defense lawyers charged in their motion.
“The inscrutable indictment falls grossly below what is constitutionally required of a charging instrument,” they added.
The judge overseeing the case has given prosecutors until Feb. 16 to file a motion for why the charges should stick.

Daedone and Cherwitz have been charged with forced labor conspiracy for the alleged scheme, which purportedly ran for 14 years until it ended in 2018.
The company, which originated in San Francisco but had operations in the Big Apple, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Denver, was the subject of the 2022 Netflix documentary “Orgasm Inc.” that chronicled its rise and fall.
