They’re a triple threat.
Gigi and Bella Hadid’s older half-sister Alana Hadid made her runway debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week on Monday, following in her famous siblings’ footsteps as she strut her stuff for popular brand Saks Potts.
Alana, 40 — who was born to Bella and Gigi’s father, Mohammed Hadid, and his ex-wife Mary Butler along with another daughter, Marielle, 42 — shared some behind-the-scenes footage from her first catwalk on Instagram Monday.
“Core memory made in Denmark with @sakspotts ???????? my first runway!” the new runway model her post, adding, “Thank you @barbarapotts @cathrinesaks ????????️✨what a way to arrive to Copenhagen, opening for the most amazing brand… in the rain.”
The stylist and co-founder of fashion brand La Detresse — who recently celebrated her toga-themed 40th birthday party with Gigi, 28 and Marielle — modeled a beige leather jacket with a tiny white beaded bra top peeking out for her fashion week debut, pairing it with a fanciful blue sequined skirt, blue trousers underneath and a pair of metallic silver flip-flops.
“Turn 40 become runway model,” Marielle commented on her sister’s post, prompting Alana to reply, “I’m living life backwards and it’s so fun.”

“A natural,” comedian Hannah Berner wrote, while a fan commented, “proud of you ! you did it at 40 you inspire a lot of women Lanzy! I love the Hadid Family.”
“I wonder what took her so long,” another Instagram user commented. “She always looked like a model. Love to see it though.”
While she certainly looked comfortable on the catwalk, it turns out Alana’s participation in the Saks Potts show happened by accident.
“I had decided to come to Copenhagen [as] I love Danish brands,” she told Vogue, adding that the designer “caught wind” that she’d be in town and asked her to take part in the fashion week presentation.
“I’m actually so in love with walking runways,” Alana said. “It was not something that I came here to do, but it’s been an exciting twist. I hope to come back again and walk more shows.”
As for Gigi and Bella, their older sister said the supermodels were supportive of her modeling moment. “Obviously they know how exhilarating being on a runway is, so they’re excited for me for sure.”
