NextImg:Giants vs. Seahawks odds, picks: Daniel Jones player props on ‘Monday Night Football’

There’s no softening how disappointing this Giants team has been through three weeks.

But there is one factor you can’t blame them for and that’s the schedule-makers.

Contending with two of the league’s most premiere defenses out of the gate can suck the air right out of a season.

It has made it evident to everyone that the Giants are of an inferior class, but that doesn’t mean that Daniel Jones and Co. still can’t turn the lights on against those of their own echelon.

(8:15 p.m. ET., ESPN)

The Seattle Seahawks are deploying a generous secondary onto the field to say the least.

They are allowing the second-most passing yards per game (328).

Seattle is also yielding 28.7 completions per game to opposing quarterbacks, which might have something to do with their friendly pressure rate of 16.7 percent.

Jones was swallowed by the likes of the Cowboys and 49ers — throwing for less than 200 passing yards in both contests. The more forgiving Cardinals surrendered 321 yards through the air to Jones, which is a more comparable measuring stick for Monday’s opposition.

This could be the coming-out party that Jones and Darren Waller have been waiting for as the Seahawks are allowing 55.7 yards to tight ends. Waller is leading the Giants in targets with 20, so that rapport should contribute to Jones’ freedom to ball out at home Monday.
