After their latest Graham Gano injury embarrassment, the Giants are adding reinforcement at kicker.

They signed former Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to NFL Network.

Atlanta released Koo on Friday after deciding to move forward with Parker Romo.

Koo, 31, was a Pro Bowler in 2020 but is coming off a rough 2024 season in which he missed nine of his 34 field-goal attempts, and he went 2-for-3 in the Falcons’ Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers more than two weeks ago.

The 38-year-old Gano injured his groin “during the defensive introductions” before Sunday night’s loss to the Chiefs at MetLife Stadium, head coach Brian Daboll said after the game.

“I was warming up just like normal and just felt a pull and went in and talked to the trainers, they wrapped it up and tried to keep it as loose as possible,’’ Gano said. “They couldn’t send me out now knowing if I was going to be able to get the ball over the line of scrimmage or not.”

Gano ended up making a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to cut Kansas City’s lead to 16-9, but he grimaced after making the kick.

“We waited until halftime and then realized I could get through it,’’ Gano said. “We kind of figured out where my range was and went from there.’’

Punter Jamie Gillan missed an extra-point attempt after rookie Cam Skattebo’s second-quarter touchdown that tied the game 6-6.

A similar situation unfolded last season during Week 2, when Gano pulled his hamstring chasing down a Commanders returner on the opening kickoff. Gano entered that game with a groin strain, but the team insisted that had nothing to do with the new hamstring issue.

The Giants lost that game to the Commanders 21-18.

Jude McAtamney was already on the Giants’ practice squad and figures to get a chance to play on Sunday against the Chargers if Gano is out.

As a rookie last season, McAtamney made his lone field-goal attempt in his only appearance of the season against Washington in Week 9.
