Tommy Cutlets has gone cold.
The walk-on quarterback from Cedar Grove, NJ, jump-started a moribund New York Giants with three straight victories, including a thrilling last-second 24-22 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 11 Monday Night Football.
DeVito’s heroics earned him NFC Offensive Player of The Week honors and sales for his jersey, Tee shirts and hoodies peaked.
On Dec. 22, he even announced a partnership with iconic Rao’s restaurant.
“Rao’s Homemade, the official sauce of Tommy Cutlets,” DeVito says in the paid Instagram reel where he and his mom Alexandra cook her famous chicken cutlets.
But his fame has flattened like a stale tiramisu.
After the Giants benched DeVito in the second half during the team’s 33-25 Christmas Day loss to the Eagles, his NFL jersey — once fetching $130 apiece — can now be had for $30.
His Hardcore Italians clothing line saw the price of tees go $35 to $14.99, and his once-$60 hoodies on the discount rack for $19.99.
As for the Rao’s deal? It’s not personal — it’s strictly business.
“Tommy DeVito was an authentic brand partner for Rao’s Homemade because of his Italian heritage, New Jersey roots, and beloved chicken cutlets family recipe,” spokesperson Claire Hayes told The Post. “We worked with Tommy to produce a branded Instagram Reel highlighting his mom’s famous cutlet recipe, featuring Rao’s Homemade marinara sauce.
“Rao’s Homemade and Tommy do not have any further plans to partner on advertising or marketing content at this time.”
DeVito, however, is still a hometown hero.
“As a small coffee shop owner, I’ve always rooted for the underdog,” said Cedar Beans owner Dave Fletcher, whose java joint held a playful tip jar contest featuring the mugs of DeVito and recent neighbor, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers emblazoned on the gratuity glasses.
“Tommy DeVito’s journey this year exemplifies the quintessential underdog story, which will always endear him to me personally, and the Township of Cedar Grove,” Fletcher said.
