The Giants’ biggest move on the opening day of NFL free agency was a seismic trade.
Big Blue is acquiring star pass-rusher Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers for a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-rounder, according to multiple reports.
The Giants are signing Burns to a five-year, $150 million contract with $87.5 million guaranteed, per multiple reports.
The Panthers had placed the franchise tag on the 25-year-old Burns, a two-time Pro Bowler with 46 sacks in 80 career games.
