It’s a rematch of the 2013 and 2014 NBA Finals in Miami when the Heat host the San Antonio Spurs tonight.
Miami is favored by 7.5 points on BetMGM Sportsbook. That spread seems reasonable, especially now that the Heat have turned things around after a January slump.
The Heat suffered a seven-game losing skid in the latter half of January, but they have since won three of their last four games. They did host the Orlando Magic last night, but it was a 121-95 blowout win that allowed Miami to rest some key players late, so it may be less affected by playing the second night of a back-to-back.
It also helps that the Heat have a lot of depth, with three players averaging at least 20 points per game, and five more scoring in double figures.
Meanwhile, San Antonio comes in on a four-game losing streak with a bottom-5 defense in the NBA. Even with Victor Wembanyama playing well, the Spurs are still by far the worst team in the Western Conference.
