Jimmy Kimmel isn’t afraid of George Santos‘ wrath following last week’s introduction of “Will Santos Say It?”
The new segment, in which the late night host submitted hilarious requests for video messages from the former politician on his new Cameo account and presented them on the show, only continued on Monday night’s (Dec. 11) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, despite Kimmel revealing that Santos is now demanding $20,000 from him “to be paid a commercial rate,” per Huff Post.
“I sent him a bunch of crazy video requests because I wanted to see what he would read and what he wouldn’t read,” Kimmel explained, noting that he showed some on the air.
The headline highlighted in Kimmel’s Monday night monologue comes from The Spectator. Santos informed the outlet that Kimmel’s ” balance is $21,800 and change,” and claimed that there are “a lot of things that [he] won’t say.”
“I’ve rejected over sixty Cameos because they just had outrageous shit that money can’t make me say,” he continued.
Kimmel told the outlet, “The idea that Mr. Santos would claim we shortchanged him and used credit card purchases improperly proves once and for all that the man is a comedy genius.”
Despite the lofty financial request, Kimmel appeared quite amused by Santos’ demand on Monday night, as he quipped, “Can you imagine if I get sued by George Santos for fraud?”
“I mean, how good would that be?” he continued. “It would be like a dream come true.”
He pointed out that since he began purchasing his videos, his “rates went way up to $500 a piece.”
“He should be thanking me for buying his videos,” he said, telling viewers that he has “a big stockpile” of Santos’ Cameo content.
Kimmel proceeded to show two more Cameos he secured from Santos, teasing that they’ll “have more as the week goes on.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC. Watch his monologue from Monday night above.
