Former New York Rep. George Santos went on an unhinged tirade against Mayor Eric Adams after claiming his car was burglarized in Queens Tuesday night — but City Hall claims the truth-challenged ex-pol staged the crime himself.

Santos, the Long Island Republican who was expelled from the House amid federal fraud charges earlier this month, posted a video to X Tuesday night claiming his car was burglarized in East Flushing.

In the expletive-laden clip, the 35-year-old called on Adams to resign in disgrace and called Hizzoner a “f—ing a–hole.”

“Don’t move to New York people, stay the f–k away from here. This city only cares to f–k over Americans to take out taxpayer dollars and shove it in the a—s of these migrants,” Santos ranted.

Adams’ deputy mayor of communications Fabien Levy fired back at Santos on the platform, accusing him of lying and staging the burglary.

Levy claimed there were “no obvious signs of a break in” adding that “all windows were raised, intact, and appeared unbroken” and said he was “99% sure you broke into the car yourself.”

He also threw cold water on Santos’ claim that his GMC Terrain was a “brand new car,” claiming that the NYPD reported that the vehicle was a 2018 model.

Police did take a complaint for petit larceny at Colden Street and Juniper Avenue on Tuesday night, confirming that Santos reported that a book bag and a gift basket worth $180 were swiped from his car after he observed his “rear passenger window broken.”

The investigation was ongoing and no arrests had been made, the department said.

Santos has a long history of fabricating everything from his educational background to his job history — and even his religion.

The ex-pol, who also reportedly dressed as a drag queen while living in Brazil more than a decade ago, had previously claimed he was a victim of two New York City muggings and an assassination attempt — supposed crimes which the NYPD had no records of.

The compulsive liar faces a 23-count federal indictment for allegedly laundering his campaign’s money and defrauding donors. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A House Democrat super PAC unveiled plans Wednesday to deploy a $6 million advertising blitz aimed at flipping the now vacant 3rd Congressional District seat, which includes a large swath of Nassau County and a sliver of Queens, into the left side of the aisle.

Santos did not immediately return a call from The Post Thursday.
