Sophie Simmons and James Henderson have officially tied the knot — twice!
Gene Simmons’ daughter married her fiancé at a Los Angeles courthouse on Feb. 17 and held a wedding ceremony with family and friends five days later in the bride’s mom Shannon Tweed’s Malibu backyard, People reported Thursday.
Sophie, 30, walked down the aisle in a blush Lahav dress, while her groom wore a black Tom Ford suit.
“The view truly can’t be beat, and I love that it is intimate and family-oriented,” she gushed to the magazine. “James and I never wanted a big wedding, so this is the perfect space for us.”
The pair will hold a reception Thursday night with 250 guests.
“We’re going to party until the sun comes up,” Sophie said of the “big moment.”
While it is unclear when the newlyweds began dating, Henderson got down on one knee in July 2022.
“no birthday can top this,” Sophie captioned an Instagram Story video of the proposal before debuting her ring.
Four months later, Gene, 73, told Page Six exclusively that he did not feel “ready” for his youngest child to walk down the aisle despite her living with Henderson for eight years.
“One second she’s just a pair of cheeks with little legs walking around. Next second, she’s a grown woman,” the Kiss rocker explained in November 2022. “But it’s happening. She’s getting married, and he’s a great guy.”
Gene and Tweed, 65, gushed to People about how “proud” they feel of Sophie and Henderson.
“James is a solid young man, and Sophie can do anything she puts her mind to,” the couple, who have been married since 2011, said Thursday.
“We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness,” they continued. “If they are even half as happy as we are, they will last long.”
