NextImg:‘Gen V’ First Look Is Just as Bloody, NSFW, and Corrupt as ‘The Boys’ — New Trailer Reveals Where “Best and Brightest Young Heroes” Thrive

More On:

The Boys

Everybody, brace yourselves. The Supes are back. A new trailer for The Boys spin-off series Gen V gives us our first in-depth look at Godolkin University, the superhero school owned by Vought International where something appears to be afoot … as is always the case when it comes to Vought.

The trailer shows Godolkin University student Marie Moreau, played by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Jaz Sinclair, who is given the chance to become the school’s first top-ranked freshman thanks to her blood bending abilities. But the trailer hints that something sinister could be threatening their lives at school.

“There are dangerous, evil people at that school,” a voiceover says.

According to Amazon Prime Video’s official synopsis for the show, Gen V “explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given.”

The show will feature the young superheroes competing for the coveted top rank at the university, while also balancing the pleasures and troubles of typical university life.

“They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become,” the show’s description reads.

In true Boys nature, the trailer shows lots of blood and gore, teasing that the varsity spin-off series doesn’t plan on straying too far from the drama of its source material.

The series also stars Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Chance Perdomo, as well as Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter are also set to guest star. The Boys actors Jessie T. Usher, P.J. Byrne, and Colby Minifie will also reprise their roles for the show.

The first three episodes of Gen V will premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video Sept. 29, after which episodes will air weekly on Fridays.
