NextImg:Gay couple say they ‘manifested’ Kelly Clarkson at their wedding: ‘It still doesn’t feel real’

Here’s the thing, they started out friends — and then Kelly Clarkson witnessed their marriage.

The gay couple who tied the knot at Kelly Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency on New Year’s Eve revealed that they are still in shock days later.

“It still doesn’t feel real,” Brian Artzt exclusively told The Post during an interview Wednesday. “The shock is very much still in both of us.”

Artzt, who works as an assistant principal at the Bronx Health Sciences High School in New York City, also revealed that the “American Idol” alum had played a special role in their relationship from day one.

“[We] loved her from the moment we saw her on American Idol” the newlyweds explained and they met a few days after Clarkson’s 2009 song “My Life Would Suck Without You” hit the radio.

“Our first meeting ended up being all about Kelly,” Artzt gushed. “She was basically all we talked about. We barely got to know each other that night.”

After being together for 15 years, the couple has been to several of the “Stronger” singer’s concerts and even got engaged during her “Meaning of Life” tour in 2019.

The couple also revealed that they have tried several times to get Clarkson, 41, to be a part of their wedding.

“We actually had no idea that it was going to happen,” Artzt confessed. “We had tried many times at previous concerts to get her attention.”

According to the educator, things changed when they managed to slip the songstress a t-shirt that read: “Kelly, Will you be the witness at our Vegas wedding?” as the singer walked by them.

In a now-viral video that was posted to X (formerly Twitter), the “Moment Like This” singer can be seen conversing with the two men who tell her that they want her to be a part of the impromptu ceremony.

“Oh, it is tonight! With me,” Clarkson can heard saying rather excitedly.

The couple’s officiant, who later identified as Phil Beniamino, was then handed the “Catch My Breath” singer’s microphone and was urged to “say something.”

“We gather here today to celebrate with two lovely gentlemen who want to claim their love tonight forever,” Beniamino began while Clarkson looked on with a massive grin.

When asked by The Post if they had any contingency plans in case Clarkson refused to be a part of the wedding, the couple stated that they didn’t need any because “we manifested our special moment.”

The couple later revealed that they currently have no plans for a smaller, intimate wedding. BrianArtzt/Facebook

“Being the genuine and loving human being that she is, we highly doubt she would do that to not only her biggest fans but to any person she encounters,” the couple stated confidently. “So, we never thought of other plans and remained optimistic that our wildest dream would come true.”

The couple later revealed that they currently have no plans for a smaller, intimate wedding.

“We haven’t thought into that yet as we had not expected this to become viral and be doing news interviews and such, they laughed. “But hey, maybe we’ll really push the envelope and get her to attend and maybe even sing at our wedding.”
