The Jets star receiver expressed optimism Tuesday about the upcoming season but also cautioned that he wants to show it on the field in September rather than talk about it in August, as the Jets have been known to do in recent years.
“I feel like we’ve won the offseason the last three or four years,” Wilson said. “I don’t really like that. For me, it’s been staying out of the radar. Let’s put our heads down and go do it when it matters so that we don’t have to be having these conversations and we can talk about other stuff in the future here because we’re winning games, we’re handling our business. That’s the goal and I feel like we’re on the path. Let’s go do it.”
Wilson enters his fourth year with the Jets armed with a new four-year, $130 million contract extension that he signed last month.
