If you’re already counting down the days to the 2026 U.S. Open, we come bearing good news.

On Monday, Dec. 8, the Garden Cup returns to NYC’s Madison Square Garden for the 12th time.

This time around, they annual one-day extravaganza has enlisted No. 1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) and No. 14 Naomi Osaka (Japan) to duke it out; No. 15 Tommy Paul (U.S.) and the now-healthy Nick Kyrgios (Australia) will go toe-to-toe as well.

In addition to their singles matches, fans can expect “a mixed doubles finale” according to Tennis Up To Date.

“I love playing in New York so coming back to The Garden at holiday time will be awesome,” Sabalenka said. “And playing Naomi, who just had such a great US Open, will be really special.”

They’re both making their MSG debut at this year’s Garden Cup. Prior to their upcoming match, the only time the two have ever was in the 2018 U.S. Open; Osaka won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 in the round of 16.

“Playing at Madison Square Garden has a special meaning for a tennis player. The history there is unmatched in sports, and I am looking forward to playing Aryna in December,” Osaka added.

Interestingly enough, this special four-person tourney isn’t the only tennis in the Tri-state this December.

The day before, Sunday, Dec. 7, ‘A Racquet at the Rock’ is set to go down at Newark’s Prudential Center with Carlos Alcaraz, Frances Tiafoe, Amanda Anisimova and Emma Raducanu on the bill.

“…it will be a special night of great tennis,” Alcaraz shared.

Fans can purchase tickets for the 2025 Garden Cup on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Sept. 12.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.
