A fresh strike blasted a Houthi rocket launch site in a Red Sea port city in Yemen, according to sources with the Iran-backed group.
A Houthi military source told AFP the site that was hit was one “from which a Houthi rocket was launched” and was on the outskirts of the city of Hodeida.
The source said it hadn’t been determined whether it was an air or sea attack.
A US official told Al Arabiya English American military wasn’t behind the latest strike.
Saturday’s strike came less than a day after after Navy destroyer USS Carney fired Tomahawk missiles at a Houthi radar site that had been used to target vessels crossing the Red Sea, US Central Command said.
On Thursday, US and British military forces conducted air raid strikes over 60 Houthi targets across 28 locations, killing five and wounding six others.
A Houthi spokesman on Saturday promised a “firm, strong, and effective response” following Friday’s attack.
