The former Soho condo of actress Julianna Margulies and her family has hit the market for $5.85 million.
The three-bedroom, three-bath corner unit is on the seventh floor of 25 W. Houston St. It listed at the same time a dwelling in the same building that was formerly owned by troubled songster Kanye West, now known as Ye, also popped up for sale. (This past winter, Kanye 2020 — his presidential campaign — paid $33,000 to white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, according to Federal Election Commission filings that were just released.)

Margulies — famed for her lead roles on “ER,” “The Good Wife” and, most recently, “The Morning Show” as TV anchor Laura Peterson — bought the condo for $2.43 million in 2004. (The current seller paid $5.7 million for it in 2019, meaning a modest gain upon this resale.)
The 2,500-square-foot spread comes with 10-foot-6 ceilings, and lots of light. A foyer opens to a living/dining area with city views. There’s also a chef’s kitchen and a main bedroom suite with a spa-like bath. Design details include maple floors, lots of storage and double-pane windows.
The co-listing brokers are Core’s Emily Beare and Sara Schwartz of the Corcoran Group.
Meanwhile, Kanye’s former bachelor pad — which he later shared with then-partner Kim Kardashian — is also on the market, asking $5.4 million. That three-bedroom, three-bath residence is also 2,500 square feet, but on the fourth floor. It was designed by Italian minimalist architect Claudio Silvestrin and recently renovated.

It’s a combo of a two-bedroom that Kanye bought for $1.89 million in 2004 and a studio that he added for $1.25 million in 2006. He sold the condo, which had been featured in Vogue, in 2018 for $3 million, which is less than what he paid to assemble it. There’s soft lighting in the foyer and “discreet” floor-to-ceiling storage lining the hallway, along with 13 oversize windows overlooking city views.
Details include a chef’s kitchen with limestone floors, along with an open living/dining room with ceilings just under 10 feet. The main bedroom comes with a spa-like bath with radiant-floor heating. The listing broker is Tal Alexander of Official.
Building amenities include a landscaped roof deck. Past and present residents also include “Top Chef” star Padma Lakshmi.
The nine-story red brick building, known as SoHo 25, was created by H. Thomas O’Hara and Beyer Blinder Belle, and completed in 2004.
