Jay Cutler has begun serving a four-day jail sentence in Franklin, Tenn., after pleading guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI.

The former Broncos, Bears and Dolphins quarterback, 42, was booked into Williamson County Jail Monday morning to serve four days behind bars as part of a deal he cut with prosecutors to bring an end to his DUI case in Tennessee.

In exchange for cutting a deal, Williamson County prosecutors dismissed the weapons charge the former NFL star was facing.

Cutler — who was previously married to Kristin Cavallari from 2013 to 2020 — was involved in a traffic accident in October 2024, and police said he was showing signs of being intoxicated.

During the incident, the former Pro Bowler had rear-ended another vehicle, with cops saying he was slurring his speech and refused to take field sobriety tests at the scene.

The former athlete later had a blood sample test taken at a local hospital. Police said they found two firearms in his vehicle, one of which was loaded.

In the aftermath of the incident, Cutler faced initial charges including driving under the influence, reckless driving leading to a collision, violating implied consent regulations, and unlawfully possessing a firearm while intoxicated.

The 42-year-old pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to four days behind bars.

Cutler was also ordered to pay a $350 fine and serve a year of unsupervised probation, in addition to attending a DUI safety course and having his driver’s license suspended for a year.

The other charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.

Cutler, a father of three, shares his kids with ex Cavallari. The exes divorced in April 2020 after seven years of marriage.

Following their messy split, the exes have continued to take public shots at each other on social media, with Cutler last month slamming Cavallari for claiming she “never got a penny” after their breakup.

“I think it’s reckless,” he said on the “Take It Outside” podcast. “I think it’s borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got.”

“It’s insanity and it’s completely false, completely untrue. I hate that I even have to address it, honestly.”

During his 12-year NFL career, Cutler had pocketed approximately $128 million — claiming that there was “not a judge in the state of Tennessee” that would have let him “keep every single dollar” of his earnings after their divorce.

“I’ve got a divorce decree,” he added. “I’ve got something that’s signed by the judge — it’s, like, 67 pages [and] it says the number breakdown.”

Cutler played 12 seasons in the NFL, beginning his career with the Broncos, throwing for 9,024 yards and 54 touchdown passes during three seasons in Denver.

He went on to play eight seasons with the Bears and one with the Dolphins before hanging up his helmet for good in 2018.
