Attention, enemies of America: You can go ahead and kill, bomb and terrorize with impunity — just make sure you don’t misgender anyone. 

That’s American foreign policy in a nutshell under President Biden, a fact confirmed by recent reports that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has warned his staffers in a memo against using gendered language. 

No more “manpower,” for example. (Also presumably forbidden would be “Uncle Sam” and “Lady Liberty.”) 

Blinken also wants Staties to ID themselves by preferred pronouns — like “ze/zir”, per the memo — in meetings and emails. 

This is what our secretary of state spends his time on, as the world burns around him?

As Iran grows ever more bloodily ascendant in the Middle East and its proxies attack American soldiers with near total impunity?

As Putin assassinates imprisoned dissidents and runs his Ukraine meat-grinder?

As Hamas prosecutes its genocidal war against Israel?

As China menaces Taiwan?

Sure, against this worrying background it’s tempting to crack a morbid smile when some green-haired zoomer working as a gofer at the State Department slaps a “xe/xem” on their TikTok bio.

But when the issue has somehow percolated to Cabinet level, while our ever more gaga president lets the ship of state pitch and yaw ever more wildly? 

Let’s just say it’s hard to see Dean Acheson or Henry Kissinger banging this particular gong. 

Mr. Secretary, please: You need to focus on what actually matters to furthering America’s interests abroad. 

Like restraining Iran and breaking the backs of its proxy armies, reminding Mad Vlad that killing his domestic opponents won’t fly and signaling support for our ally Israel instead of the bloodthirsty terrorists of Hamas. 

Not chiding your staffers that gender identity “may be fluid, so remain attuned to and supportive of shifts in pronouns.”

We wish that weren’t a direct quote. But it is.

And it makes tragically clear that woke insanity trumps real policy in the Biden White House.
