A flight attendant has been mocked online for her “embarrassing” hotel drink “hack.”
The US woman, who goes by the name Kaitlyn on TikTok, was staying at a hotel in between flights and with no microwave in the room, she decided to improvise.
“A lot of times I get to my hotel room at the most random times – it could be super late at night and there’s not always a microwave,” she begins the video.
She then grabs a pack of chicken stock cubes called Not-Chick’n, Bouillon Cubes, which are mainly used for making soup or gravy, and tosses one in a cup of hot water.
She poured water into her coffee pot and put the cup with the cube underneath it so it would fill up with hot water from the coffee machine.
“I hope it doesn’t taste like coffee,” she said while she waited for her cup to fill up.
“I just read the instructions it says you’re only supposed to put half in a cup.
“So, I might have to make two cups.”
But she then encountered another problem.
“I don’t have any more cups so I don’t think I thought this through,” she said.
With no cups left, she poured the chicken-flavored water back and forth between her two cups to mix the cube in properly.
“Life of a flight attendant guys,” she joked.
“Sometimes we’re in Paris eating at a beautiful cafe.
“Somedays we’re making soup out of like broth I don’t even know what I want to call that.
“This is like flavored water basically.”
After giving it the taste test she surprisingly rated it 7 out of 10, and while she seemed to have enjoyed her concoction, others, were quick to mock her method.
“No! Not the coffee pot!” one person wrote.
“You don’t cook much do you? That’s a bouillon cube. Just bring a can of chicken broth and a can opener,” another wrote, to which Kaitlyn responded: Hahaha no I don’t that’s embarrassing”.
One person joked that “at that point I’d just go to sleep”.
