An American teenager is causing waves online.
Jackson Schop, 19, has taken social media by storm with his constant posts from the gym.
But it’s not his workouts that catch the eye.
The teen, who has over 100,000 followers on Instagram, has two vastly different-sized arms.
His right arm looks like it belongs to Popeye, while his left arm is nothing but skin and bone.
Schop revealed his unusual look stems from a serious snowmobile accident that occurred almost two years ago and left his left arm paralyzed.
“Hey guys! Just wanted to explain what happened. I was involved in a snowmobile accident in January 2022 causing paralysis of my left arm. I love all the joke comments so don’t get offended for me. Sincerely, Your Roblox Avatar.”
His comment and willingness to be open about his situation drew widespread praise from his followers.
One follower wrote: “Huge respect to this guy for keeping up the grind and taking jokes.”
Another added: “Keep going bro. That’s f awesome to see you battle forward.”
A third wrote: “Amazing bro. The fact you are able to go past this and still do things where other people stopped miles ago is inspiring.”
Following the accident, the youngster said it took a while to come to terms with his condition, but after accepting there was nothing he could do, he moved on to accomplish one goal.
“Part of me doesn’t really know how I accepted it. I would say for the most part, I just realized there’s nothing I can do about it,” he said.
“So why focus on what I can’t control? Instead, I focus on what I can control, and by doing this it allows me to excel in other areas of my life, like for example, fitness – I’m in the best shape of my life.
“But if I were to focus on my paralyzed arm, complain, and be a victim to my injury, I would not be where I am today.
“Once I got out of the hospital, I gave myself a goal: get in the best shape of my life, regardless of my paralyzed arm. I can officially say I accomplished my goal.”
