Hollywood power couple Barry Jenkins and Lulu Wang, dubbed “the first couple of film,” are officially bicoastal.
The talented director duo paid $2.35 million for a Greenwich Village pad at 40-50 E. 10th St., according to city property records.
The two-bedroom, 1½-bath co-op was last asking $2.49 million — and hit the market for $2.85 million in 2021. That’s in addition to the Silver Lake, California, four-bedroom home, built in 1939, which they bought from Netflix VP Melissa Cobb for $5.1 million in 2020, according to reports.
Jenkins was Oscar-nominated for directing the film “Moonlight,” which he also wrote, in 2017 — the same year he was named one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by Time magazine. He’s also the recent co-producer of the Oscar-nominated film “Aftersun.”
Wong, meanwhile, wrote and directed “The Farewell,” starring Awkwafina, who won a Golden Globe for her performance. Not to be outdone, their adorable dog, Chauncey Wang Jenkins, has his own Instagram account.
Built in 1929, the prewar Village residence boasts 11 windows facing East 10th Street, along with a living room with beamed ceilings, a woodburning fireplace, and an original stone mantel and oak floors.
The home also features three casement windows with built-in window seats, along with a windowed eat-in kitchen, a guest bedroom/home office/library — and a large main bedroom.
The 10-story building, which converted to co-ops in 1963, comes with a doorman, a live-in super, bike storage, a gym, a children’s room and a landscaped roof deck.
The listing brokers were Robert McCain and Kristina Kaplan Wallison of Compass, while Corcoran’s Tamer Howard repped the buyer.
