NextImg:Fired MLB manager Gabe Kapler is now a thirst-trapping TikTok star

Ex-Giants and Phillies manager Gabe Kapler has a new side gig that no one expected.

Kapler has garnered an impressive 62,000 followers on TikTok since Jan. 1, when he posted five tips for a healthy new year and provided exercise and dietary advice.

The women on TikTok appear to be huge fans of Kapler, with the top comment on his first post being “Thanks Babe… I mean Gabe,” alongside many others excited to see him on the social media platform.nd

Kapler has one video of him getting dressed in a black suit that has accumulated an insane 1.3 million views, with comments fawning over the ex-MLB player and manager.

Posting thirst traps is not Kapler’s actual full-time job, though, as he is the assistant general manager for the 21-41 Marlins.

Kapler was fired by the Giants after a disappointing 2023 season.

He previously managed the Phillies for two seasons and has a respectable career record of 295-248.

Kapler also amassed 1.1 million views on another video where he is simply drinking whiskey and coffee in two different settings.

Another female commentator said, “Gabe doing thirst traps was not on my bingo card ????.”

Kapler, despite only posting 16 times, has ammassed nearly 5.4 million likes on his account.

He figures to have less time on his hands for the next several weeks, though, as the Marlins are currently sitting in last place and sure to be active leading into the trade deadline.

Multiple reports suggested lefty starter Jesus Luzardo will be in high demand.
