OAKMONT, Pa. — The U.S. Open final round was halted at 4:05 p.m. after torrential rain soaked Oakmont, leaving standing water on the greens and in fairways, with play set to resume at 5:40 p.m.

The players were shuttled to the safety of the clubhouse with 54-hole leader Sam Burns, at 2-under par, leading Adam Scott (1-under) by one shot through seven holes.

Viktor Hovland and Tyrrell Hatton were both through eight holes and 1-over par, three shots off the lead.
