


Two big-time European clubs, Real Madrid and Juventus, are facing off today with a trip to the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals on the line.
Following a draw in their opening match of the group stage, Spain’s Real Madrid comes in having won their past two matches, defeating Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg by scores of 3-1 and 3-0, respectively.
The famed Italian club Juventus began the group stage with triumphant victories over Al Ain and Wydad AC by scores of 5-0 and 4-1, respectively. Juventus then fell 5-2 to Manchester City in their final match of the group stage.
La Liga’s Real Madrid qualified for the Club World Cup by being one of the past three winners of the UEFA Champions League. Serie A’s Juventus earned a spot through its performance in the Champions League across the four-year qualifying period from 2021-24.
The winner of Real Madrid and Juventus will take on the winner of Borussia Dortmund vs. Monterrey, who face off at 9 p.m. tomorrow night.
