The roar — and all of the subsequent roaring — from Fernando Cruz said it all.

Trent Grisham tracked down Trevor Story’s fly ball in deep center for the final out of the inning, escaping a bases-loaded jam without two outs, and Cruz, who emerged as a reliable Yankees bullpen piece this season, was fired up on his way back to the dugout.

The Puerto Rican reliever gave up one hit in his inning of work, throwing eight of his 14 pitches for strikes in the frame.

He came on in relief of Carlos Rodon, who unraveled to start the inning by throwing eight consecutive balls to end his night.
