An FDNY paramedic was arrested for drunk driving — after crashing into an NYPD patrol car in Queens, police said.
Syhon Rivers, a 28-year-old EMT, had his 2015 BMW double parked on 20th Avenue and 37th Street in Astoria shortly around 4:10 a.m. Saturday when the NYPD pulled up to investigate, police said.
Rivers tried to drive off and hit the patrol car, authorities said. The officers were not injured, cops said.
Rivers, a Brooklyn resident, was charged with DWI and criminal possession of a weapon after cops found brass knuckles in his vehicle, the NYPD said. He was off duty.
Rivers has been with the FDNY since 2015, public records show. His total pay for this year is $96,000, according to seethroughny.com.
