The Cincinnati Bearcats play their first Big 12 home game this afternoon, and it will be quite the challenge since the No. 16 Oklahoma Sooners are coming to town.
FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring Oklahoma by 13.5 points and that is a good spread for the Sooners. Oklahoma has looked like it has rounded into form and I think it will be too much for Cincinnati.
The Sooners have delivered every game this season. Their only “down” game was a 28-11 win over SMU in Week 2, and in their other two games they easily dispatched Arkansas State and Tulsa. Dillon Gabriel has played great with 905 passing yards and 11 touchdowns, while the defense has only allowed 28 points all season and already has six interceptions.
Cincinnati is probably a decent team, but it has not shown anything to suggest it can hang with the Sooners for a full game. The Bearcats lost at home to Miami of Ohio last weekend, and their 27-21 win at Pitt looks less impressive given the Panthers’ offensive struggles. Emory Jones has been solid at QB with 735 passing yards, 144 rushing yards, and 10 total touchdowns, but Cincy will need him to up his game against Oklahoma.
