Saturday’s showdown between Notre Dame and Texas A&M isn’t a must-win for the home team, but it is pretty darn close.
The Fighting Irish can be forgiven for losing to Miami in Week 1, but falling to 1-2 would be a tough hole to climb out of, especially since they don’t play any real marquee teams after the Aggies.
On the other hand, a win for Notre Dame would completely erase the bad taste from the loss to Miami.

There’s very little secret to what Notre Dame will try to do on Saturday night. They’ll try to get the run game going and use Jeremiyah Love to wear out the Aggies.
Notre Dame wasn’t able to do that against Miami, but you’d have to imagine the coaching staff will adjust for this massive game.
Texas A&M, on the other hand, will have no issue spreading things around and trying to turn this into more of a back-and-forth encounter.
