The New York Yankees begin the second matchup of their three-game series against the Detroit Tigers tonight in the Bronx.

Clarke Schmidt will take the mound for New York. Schmidt is having an okay season with a 4.56 ERA, 133 strikeouts, and a 1.34 WHIP in 27 starts this season. Detroit pitcher Matt Manning has been a little better this year with a 3.62 ERA, 49 strikeouts, and a 1.03 ERA.
