Gather your wish lists, grab your comfiest loungewear to wear while online shopping, and block your calendar — the biggest Nordstrom sales event of the year is back.
This year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale promises to be one of the best yet. Whether you’re a seasoned Anniversary Sale veteran (#NordyPro) or a first-time shopper wondering what all the buzz is about, here’s your full guide to navigating Nordstrom’s most iconic annual event.
“The Anniversary Sale is the ultimate moment for shoppers — it’s not just another sale; it’s an event,” Linda Cui Zhang, associate fashion director at Nordstrom, exclusively shared with Post Wanted. “It started in the 1960s as a way to surprise and delight customers during the quiet summer months, flipping the traditional clearance model on its head.”
Instead of end-of-season markdowns, Nordstrom offers fresh, brand-new fall styles at exclusive pre-season savings. “That means our customers get first access to next season’s must-haves before anyone else — and at unbeatable values,” Cui Zhang highlighted.
Over the years, it’s grown into Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year, featuring hundreds of brands and thousands of events. That’s why Cui Zhang labels the event as a “celebration of style, service and the joy of shopping.” We agree.
This isn’t my first rodeo covering the much-anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, either. As a full-time shopping expert, I’m here to share the 411 on the sale: what our Post Wanted team knows so far, why it’s worth stocking up your cart, and what’s new for 2025.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the retailer’s version of a red carpet premiere. This once-in-a-year event serves up brand-new fall merchandise at strikingly reduced prices before it hits the racks at full cost. Think fresh arrivals from coveted brands: Vince, Veronica Beard, Nike, Barefoot Dreams and more —offered at epic markdowns.
What elevates the Anniversary Sale beyond a mere markdown extravaganza is its sense of exclusivity and ritual. Nordstrom cardholders are granted early access (think: cutting the digital lines), turning the event into a status symbol as much as a shopping spree.
Whether you’re chasing the perfect over-the-knee boots, restocking skincare favorites or hunting for home, baby and vacation-ready fashion on mega-clearance, this is the moment. It’s an equally great time for strategic back-to-school (or work!) shopping.

In the commerce world, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the Super Bowl 2.0 (with Amazon Prime Day reigning in its No. 1 place as our self-proclaimed Super Bowl).
This year, the sale officially runs from Friday, July 12, through Saturday, August 3, but if you’re a Nordy Club member, you’ll want to pay attention — early access starts as soon as Monday, July 8, depending on your membership tier.
Here’s how the early access dates typically break down:
So if you’re not already a member, now’s the perfect time to sign up — it’s free, and it might just be your golden ticket to scoring that must-have jacket or pair of boots before they inevitably sell out.
Nordstrom exclusively shared with Post Wanted that the 2025 Anniversary Sale is bringing more than 65 brand-new names to the lineup, joining longtime favorites for what Nordstrom promises is their biggest assortment ever.
“For 2025, we’re unveiling Anniversary Big Deals, where select items from brands like Vince, Rails, Free People and Sperry are available at deeper discounts — up to 50% off,” Cui Zhang shared. “We’ve also partnered with Saturday Night Live’s Chloe Fineman for a game-show-inspired campaign that’s bringing humor, fun, and energy to the event.”
This year, shoppers can dive into interactive experiences like daily Golden Hanger prizes, Glam Up Days in beauty and exclusive perks for Nordy Club members.
Here are just some of the new brands debuting this year:
And of course, you’ll find major deals on popular Nordstrom brands like Zella (hello, cult-favorite leggings), Open Edit, Caslon and Nordstrom Made. Plus, elevated designer deals, including styles from Cinq à Sept, FRAME, Vince, Madewell and Farm Rio (hello, colorful prints and dreamy vacation vibes).
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale isn’t lacking on the men’s styles, either. This year, you’ll find deals on top brands like Theory, BOSS, Faherty, AG and TravisMathew.
“The Anniversary Sale is the perfect opportunity to snag great deals and get ready for fall in style! What started as a small summer event at a single store has grown into a nationwide celebration that’s all about fashion, fun, and savings.”
Linda Cui Zhang, associate fashion director at Nordstrom
It’s not just clothes on sale. Every year, the Anniversary Sale features exclusive beauty sets, limited-edition palettes and skincare favorites at serious markdowns. Expect savings on brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Kiehl’s Since 1851, La Mer, MAC Cosmetics, and many more.
And parents, this is the perfect time to grab baby gear, strollers and kids’ clothing at a discount, including from top brands like Skiphop, Magnetic Me and WonderFold.
“I always tell friends my best tip is to shop early, especially if you’re a Nordy Club member with early access,” Cui Zhang said. “Build your wish list on the Nordstrom app ahead of time (our preview goes live on June 26th!) so you can shop efficiently once the sale begins.”
