Nick Hogan is still stunned his father is gone.
Even in the final days of Hulk Hogan’s life, his son held onto hope that the legendary pro wrestler and his “hero” truly was immortal. It made his death on July 24 at the age of 71 a “shock” to his son and family.
“In my mind, like a lot of other people, I still believed in the character’s immortality,” Nick Hogan said in a Zoom interview with The Post. “I always thought in the back of my mind that my dad really is immortal. My dad can’t pass. My dad can beat anything. I still believe that. I don’t want to say that I was delusional in that sense. But I always had a belief that my dad was capable of overcoming anything or recovering from anything.”
There had been conflicting reports about Hulk Hogan’s health in the final days of his life — and his cause of death is still in dispute. Nick said the family did whatever they could to help his father recover from a neck surgery in May and the complications that arose.
