SIGN UP NOWKurt Warner sounded baffled by what he was watching Sunday as he called the Broncos-Jets game for NFL Network.
The Hall of Fame quarterback almost sounded frustrated at times by the Jets offense and quarterback Justin Fields. Warner spoke to The Post a few days after the game to discuss what he saw from Fields in London.
“I think it’s the same process that I’ve seen from him for years,” Warner said. “You see moments, but the biggest thing is he just hasn’t gotten acclimated to the speed of processing at the NFL level, in my opinion. That always hurts him when he’s got to play in the pocket consistently.
“It always hurts him, and it always comes back to get him, and it just leaves you kind of wondering: Will he ever get there? Is he a starting quarterback in the NFL because of that? That leaves that question out there that, you know, I don’t know if he is. I don’t think he is right now.”
