This drool-worthy loft in Dumbo really rocks.

That’s because the dwelling once served as a recording studio and crash pad for The Blue Öyster Cult, the rock group that immortalized its acclaimed album, “The Revölution by Night,” there in 1983.

Now, the airy 3,000-square-foot spread at 39 Pearl St. is about to hit the market for $2.5 million, Gimme Shelter has learned.

As for the band, they went on to sell 25 million records worldwide. Their music was featured in the 1978 film “Halloween” with Jamie Lee Curtis and Mike Myers, and they were parodied in a famed “Saturday Night Live” comedy sketch, “More Cowbell,” in 2000 with Christopher Walken, Will Ferrell and Jimmy Fallon.

They are also currently on tour — more than 50 years after they launched at Stony Brook College in Long Island in 1967. Their song, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” has been called the most upbeat death song ever

But the renovated five-bedroom, two-bath unit has more than musical history.

It’s in a five-story building that dates to 1880 and was part of Masury Paint Works — home of the modern paint can. Masury & Sons Paint Company patents were issued for the invention in 1857 and 1859, according to the Dumbo Historic District Designation Report.

The light-filled residence features original details like wood beams, high ceilings, exposed brick, concrete floors — and oversized windows with views of the city skyline over the East River and the Manhattan Bridge.

An open layout includes a large kitchen, and a living and dining area. There’s also a windowed home office and plenty of room to reimagine the space. The original owners formed an LLC and purchased the building for $530,000 in 1997.
