The biggest and priciest home on exclusive Fisher Island off the coast of Miami is now on the market — for a grand $55 million.
It’s a spec house — from French billionaire Jean Madar, who has a nose for real estate, and whose property holdings run from Paris to Ibiza, St. Barts, Monaco and now Florida.
This is just the first of six Fisher Island mansions that the perfume mogul and his brother, Alain, are putting on the market.
Known as the Mega Mansion, the new-construction waterfront home will be at 1007 Links Drive. It is slated for completion next year, and it is part of a group of around 12 new lots coming to market, known as the Links Estates at Fisher Island.
And at a sprawling 15,802 square feet, the ritzy residence is also larger than any other home on the tony isle, said Douglas Elliman’s Dina Goldentayer, who is co-listing the home with Elliman’s Fredrik Eklund.
While the island once attracted an older crowd, these days younger people in their 30s and 40s are turning it into their primary residence.
“As more younger people are drawn to the island as full-time residents, the demand for expansive estates with a generous yard, massive pool and a roof top are all highly attractive to the island’s new wave of growing families,” Goldentayer told Gimme Shelter.
The home’s architect is Portuondo Perotti, with interiors by Ford Interior Design and landscaping by Enzo Enea. The modern mansion boasts views of Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline and a private golf course.
There’s plenty of room for a growing a family in the mega-mansion, which features 10 bathrooms and two powder rooms.
Details include12-foot-high ceilings, white oak floors, a wine cellar and a chef’s kitchen with a butler’s pantry. Completion is slated for 2026.
In addition, the home’s rooftop has been transformed into a playful wellness area — with a gym, a hot tub, a sauna, a steam shower, a meditation garden and outdoor dining space with an additional kitchen.
The dwelling sits on just over half an acre and also includes a pool. In addition, there’s an outdoor terrace with a summer kitchen and covered dining.
The home can also be customized, brokers added.
The exclusive island, just 216 acres, is accessible only by boat or helicopter. It features a private school, a golf club, a beach club, 18 tennis courts and a deep-water marina. There are also eight restaurants including Pura Vida Miami — the island’s only independent outside hospitality operator — which opened inside the Racquet Club last May, as another sign of the demographic shift.
While Madar originally planned to build an even larger mansion on three of the six lots, with an asking price of $100 million, there was “individual interest” in the separate parcels, which precluded the $100 million proposed assemblage, sources said.
Past and present residents include Oprah Winfrey, Karolína Kurková and Caroline Wozniacki.
Madar co-founded Interparfums in 1982, and the company has worked with brands including Oscar de la Renta, Van Cleef & Arpels, Coach, Moncler, Montblanc, Ferragamo, Lacoste, Donna Karan and more, according to reports.
Groupe Madar‘s real estate holdings date to 1958. They have substantial holdings in Paris and in 2006 built their first 15 luxury villas outside France, in St. Barts. In 2019, they purchased real estate in Ibiza, followed by a hotel in Monaco in 2020. The Fisher Island properties mark their fourth expansion into international real estate.
