Spencer Jones, he said, was the one putting in the work.
But Judge, at 6-foot-7 and 282 pounds, knows better than anyone else in the Yankees clubhouse what the 6-foot-6, 240-pound Jones is going through, trying to get his big frame to move in the best possible way to consistently produce in the batter’s box.
Jones spent the offseason working on some adjustments to his swing and batting stance — which have drawn some comparisons to Judge’s from Yankees coaches — building off of the ones he made late last season at Double-A, near the end of a tough season.
