NextImg:Ex-Trump aide sells Ivanka black pumps for $25 ahead of arraignment

A onetime personal assistant to former President Donald Trump, who resigned abruptly in 2019 after gossiping about his family with reporters, has put the boot into her former boss by auctioning off a pair of his daughter’s branded black pumps for $25 ahead of his arraignment.

Madeleine Westerhout sold the Ivanka Trump black patent pumps — which were originally listed for $150 — within the past week, according to a listing on the secondhand fashion website Poshmark.

The black peep-toe heels, complete with bows and four-inch heels, came in size 8 and appeared “close to new” despite “scuffed” bottoms, Westerhout said in the listing.

The Trump pumps were initially posted sometime before November 2022 and Westerhout updated the listing in January 2023.

The heels sold sometime after March 28, two days before a Manhattan grand jury indicted Trump, 76, on charges related to a “hush money” payment to porn star Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election.

Westerhout served as Trump’s aide from 2017 to 2019 before a brief stint as director of Oval Office operations from February to August 2019.

That month, reports surfaced that she had spilled personal details about the former president’s family to reporters over an off-the-record dinner at a hotel near Trump’s golf resort in Bedminster, NJ — at one point joking that he won’t take pictures with his daughter Tiffany because she’s overweight.

Westerhout also said she enjoyed a better relationship with Trump than either Tiffany or Ivanka, saying the father of five “couldn’t pick Tiffany out of a crowd.”

She was apparently drunk at the dinner and passed along information about White House operations as well.

After Westerhout’s resignation, Trump called the report “absolutely false,” while also saying his former aide “always did a good job.”

“While Madeleine Westerhout has a fully enforceable confidentiality agreement, she is a very good person and I don’t think there would ever be reason to use it,” he tweeted at the time. “She called me yesterday to apologize, had a bad night. I fully understood and forgave her! I love Tiffany, doing great!”

Though not always a Trump ally, Westerhout remains supportive of her former boss even after the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

“President Trump never stopped working on behalf of the American people!” she tweeted on May 4, 2021.

The day after the storming of the US Capitol, Westerhout said on Twitter she was “looking forward to a peaceful transition of power on January 20th,” a remark she doubled down on during President Biden’s inauguration.

“I did not vote for @JoeBiden and do not agree with many of his policies, but as of noon EST on Jan 20, he will be OUR president,” she tweeted. “I pray he does everything in his power to unite our country and give a voice to every American. It is time to move forward and heal the nation.”

Westerhout also worked as a campaign aide to Mitt Romney in 2012 and reportedly wept for joy after Trump’s election in 2016.

Ivanka Trump announced in July 2018 that she would be closing her fashion brand after taking a position in her father’s administration, saying in a statement, “After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington.”

Trump was to be arraigned Tuesday on 34 counts of felony business fraud in relation to an alleged $130,000 paid to Daniels by his then-attorney Michael Cohen in October 2016.
