After two years off the air, Mythic Quest is back!
The fourth season of Apple TV+‘s workplace comedy from the team behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia picks up where the third left off. After striking out on their own, Ian Grimm (series creator Rob McElhenney) and Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) are back as co-creative directors at Mythic Quest, the massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that Ian created.

Elsewhere, Dana (Imani Hakim) is still trying to develop her own creative endeavors, and MQ executive producer David (David Hornsby) is just trying to get through the day corralling his undisciplined coworkers.
Mythic Quest Season 4 premiered on January 30, 2024. New episodes will continue to air weekly on Wednesdays through March 26.
Mythic Quest airs exclusively on Apple TV+, so you’ll need a subscription to watch the new episodes as they drop.
Apple TV+ offers a seven-day free trial for users, so you’ll be able to watch a few episodes (depending on when you subscribe) before the $9.99/month payments kick in.
The first two episodes of Mythic Quest Season 4 premiered together, but from here on out, it’s weekly drops. While the dates below are the official release dates, Apple TV+ typically releases new episodes at 9:00 p.m. ET the night before (so, for Mythic Quest, that’d be Tuesday nights).
The entire core cast of Mythic Quest is back for Season 4.
There aren’t too many notable additions to the cast for Season 4, but Chase Yi joins the cast in a recurring role as Poppy’s new boyfriend.
On March 26 (the same day as the Mythic Quest season finale), all four episodes of Side Quest, a new spin-off of Mythic Quest will premiere on Apple TV+.
What is this new spin-off, you might be asking yourself? Think back to Season 1 of MQ; remember “A Dark Quiet Death,” the episode that charted the complete lifecycle of a predecessor to the Mythic Quest game? Side Quest will be similar to that (and other MQ anthology episodes “Backstory!” and “Sarian”).
The anthology season will include four self-contained episodes that depict the impact that the Mythic Quest game has on employees, players, and fans.
In addition to McElhenney, who will reprise his role from the main series, Side Quest will feature the following actors: Esai Morales, Annamarie Kasper, Shalita Grant, Bria Henderson, Rome Flynn, Ramon Reed, Leonard Robinson, Derek Waters, Anna Konkle, Van Crosby, Alice Wen, Melanie Brook, Justin Jarzombek, and David Calvillo.
