Eva Longoria is setting the record straight — again.

The Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip star and Casa del Sol tequila entrepreneur sat down with Kelly Clarkson on Wednesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she said that she now spends her time “in between Spain and Mexico.”

Clarkson replied in awe, “Spain and Mexico. Look at your life!”

Longoria clarified, “I know, but I didn’t move away because of politics. That was a lie. I don’t know who said that. That was like clickbait.”

While Clarkson noted that “people make that up, especially when things happen,” Longoria agreed that “everybody makes things up.”

“I’ve been going back and forth for, like, years, because I’ve been working a lot in Spain,” she explained. “And so I did a TV show for about a year, and then I just did Searching for Spain for CNN. So I’ve just been eating and drinking my way through Spain.”

This isn’t the first time Longoria has faced these rumors head on. While calling into The View: Behind The Table podcast in November 2024, she shared the same sentiments with Ana Navarro, per NBC 4 New York.

“Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of the United States because of [Donald] Trump?” Longoria said at the time. “I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there.”

However, while speaking with Marie Claire in a piece published on Nov. 13, 2024, she said that she was “privileged” while speaking of her move, telling the outlet, “I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

However, Rosie O’Donnell, who moved to Ireland in January, made headlines this week after appearing on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show on Friday (March 21), explaining that President Trump “has it out” for her, and has “for 20 years,” since she called him out on  The View.

The Kelly Clarkson Show airs on weekdays. Check out their website for your local listings.
