Sara Haines shared a rather flirtatious moment with actor Eugenio Derbez when he visited The View Friday (July 18).
The View host shot her shot with the Mexican-American actor after he discussed his experience of crossing over the United States market after becoming a household name in Mexico.
“I was like the Adam Sandler in Mexico and then when I moved here I was a totally new face for everyone – but not for my audience,” Derbez explained.
When it was Haines’ turn to ask Derbez a question, she prefaced it by flirtatiously telling the actor, “And just for the record, Eugenio, you’re a very hot Adam Sandler.”
Derbez then took her hand and kissed it as he told her, “I love you!” He then leaned back into his seat and shot a smoldering look at the camera, prompting laughter from the audience. “Now, I’m switching to drama,” he joked.
Haines was blushing and fanning herself as she tried to continue posing her question. Ana Navarro even began to fan Haines to cool her down after that steamy moment.
Derbez was visiting The View to promote the upcoming season of his Apple TV+ comedy Acapulco. He spoke candidly about how “humbling” it was to have to reestablish himself as an actor in the United States after becoming a comedic legend in Mexico.

“It was like living in two different worlds because, in Mexico, I was like the Adam Sandler,” he said.
He then referenced a Variety survey that named him as the number one most influential Latino in Hollywood in 2014.
“It’s a big deal. And it was surprising to me because I didn’t know I had an audience here in the U.S.. The first time, I learned I had an audience here was when I released a movie called Instructions Not Included. It became the highest grossing Spanish language film ever worldwide,” Derbez said.
Fans can catch this “very hot Adam Sandler” in the new season of Acapulco, which premieres on Apple TV+ July 23.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
