ESPN has their new morning team, The Post has learned.
Giants Super Bowl champion Chris Canty will be joined by SiriusXM’s Evan Cohen and Michelle Smallmon on mornings with the hope that the new program begins by football season in a few weeks, according to sources.
The trio replaces the combination of Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams and Max Kellerman.
Johnson and Kellerman were part of the recent layoffs, while Williams’ ESPN future remains in limbo with his contract up soon.
Cohen will depart his SiriusXM program, “Morning Men,” which he hosts with Mike Babchik and former Jet Willie Colon.
Canty has worked with Chris Carlin in afternoons on ESPN Radio and the duo often filled in for Mike Greenberg on mid-mornings.
Greenberg is expected to continue from 10 a.m. to noon, while the rest of the national afternoon lineup is still being sorted out.
Carlin figures to be a part of it.
Smallmon previously worked in morning drive on ESPN Radio’s affiliate in St. Louis, and departed the station to do national update anchoring for ESPN Radio last year.
ESPN has ceded advertising sales to Good Karma Brands, which also has relationships locally in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
In New York, the morning show is not expected to be on, as Dave Rothenberg and Rick DiPietro have been holding down the fort.
In addition to SiriusXM, Cohen has long been a part of Good Karma as an on-air host and executive.
