There are two different camps when it comes to the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift romance — you either believe it’s a PR stunt or it will turn out to be a “Love Story.”
“SportsCenter” anchor Elle Duncan admitted that she was mistaken to think that the Kelce-Swift romance wasn’t authentic, “The Elle Duncan Show.”
“I was wrong,” Duncan said. “I realized actually pretty early on.”
Duncan, who doubled down on her take only five days earlier, confessed she has friends with insider information that swayed her newfound decision.
“We are privy to people with outsider information,” Duncan said. “Being good friends, I had some of these insiders go ‘hey Elle, I know you’re having fun with this but you’re wrong.'”
The duo haven’t clarified whether they met before the pop star’s attendance at the the Chiefs-Bears game in Kansas City on Sept. 24, when speculation about their relationship skyrocketed.
“They know each other, they have known each other, whatever it is that you think is happening is not happening,” Duncan said her sources urged. “They met before Sunday.”
Prior to retracting her statement, Duncan could not have been more adamant that the two were strictly platonic.
“It’s a stunt,” Duncan claimed the day after Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium. “It’s a stunt. And there was nothing more clear that it was a stunt than watching them leave the arena together. He looked nervous. He looked like he had zero game. It was the most platonic walk of all time.”

In fact, Duncan was so sure the relationship was a ploy for press that she said almost nothing could change her mind.
“I will die on this hill,” Duncan said. “They are not dating.”
When X users asked why in the world the NFL, the 12-time Grammy Winner or the Chiefs tight end would need more press, she stuck to the facts.
“His jersey sales went up 400 percent.. lol and an entire gaggle of girls who don’t know football are watching,” Duncan wrote on X.
However, Duncan’s reformed opinion comes after Swift traveled to MetLife Stadium on Sunday to watch the Jets-Chiefs game, bearing witness to her new beau’s talent.
The stir around her appearance raked in 27 million viewers to the broadcast, making it the most-watched Sunday program since the Super Bowl aired in February.
