They’re trying to get the goat.

A New Jersey town is on the lookout for a goat that has been peeping into residents’ homes.

The Chatham Township Police are searching for the wandering creature, which belongs to a local individual.

“We know who the rightful owner of the goat is, and it is not Creekside Farms,” the department said in a Facebook post.

Creekside Farm is a family-run operation that includes a popular roadside market in Chatham.

The township police asked residents to resist any urge to capture the animal if they see it.

“If he happens to show up at your door, please do not try to apprehend him,” the post said. “Please call CTPD for assistance.”

“This is a baaaaaaaaad situation,” quipped one amused Facebook user, while someone else said, “That behooves me.”

“His name has got to be (e)Scape Goat,” another added.
