Blue Jays pitcher Erik Swanson got some good news about his son.

Swanson’s 4-year-old son, Toby, was struck by a car on Sunday and is now out of the pediatric intensive care unit, the reliever’s wife, Madison, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday night.

“I don’t have the words, idk where to begin,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “We have been overwhelmed with a huge amount of love and support over the last few days. To the people who have reached out in any capacity, we will never be able to express in words how meaningful it has been we don’t have the mental capacity to reach out to you all but we see you, we hear you, it is what has gotten our little boy through all of this.

“The most important update is that Toby is out of the PICU and we are continuing to take it day by day. God is so good and we are so blessed @swannypops.”

Madison also thanked those who helped take care of Toby after he was airlifted to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., as he was in critical condition following the scary incident.

“We are so grateful for the speedy first responders to the accident, to the pedestrians that helped as we waited the next step, and to the AMAZING staff at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital someone has truly been watching over my little man.”

According to the Canadian Press, Toby was struck by a 2024 Ford Expedition near the Opal Sands Resort on Sunday.

The driver of the vehicle cooperated with authorities, according to the report.

Swanson left spring training camp in Dunedin, and manager John Schneider only had words of support for the hurler.

“Family comes first,” Schneider said. “Our love, support and prayers are with Erik, Madison, Toby and the entire Swanson family.”

Swanson joined the Blue Jays last season in the trade that sent Teoscar Hernandez to the Mariners, and he thrived in his first season north of the border.

The right-hander held a 2.97 ERA with a 1.095 WHIP and 75 strikeouts across 66 ²/₃ innings.
