If there’s one story that sums up the parenting experience, it’s this one.

While we might try and do our best to make our little ones’ lives special, so often our best intentions don’t always go according to plan. 

In this case, a mom tried to create a ‘cute’ face on a cookie for her son’s lunchbox using baby bell cheese and a lolly mustache. 

Sounds adorable right?

Wrong.

Her creation took a seriously spooky turn for the worse when it started melting everywhere.

The result is as hilarious and disastrous as you can imagine and needless to say, it was left untouched and her son was left… very confused. 

Luckily the mom, Krystal Weinberg, could have a good old laugh at herself and shared the lunchbox fail to the What I Asked For VS What I Got Facebook Group.

She wrote, “Tried to pack a cute lunch for my kid using a baby bell cheese and a candy mustache.”

Krystal then recounted the conversation she had with her son at the school gates.

“Me at pick-up: Sooooooo?? Did you like your lunch ?????????? (waits for giggles of delight)

Them: WHAT?! NO!!! GEEZ MOM! What the heck was that even supposed to beeee?!??

Me: What?? It was supposed to be cute????!

Them: It WAS NOT cute. It was literally horrifying!

Me: …wut..?

Note to self: Put juicy fruit in a separate compartment????????”

Of course, she also graced everyone with the ‘after’ photo.

The lolly mustache had melted entirely and covered the cooky in a sticky, black mess. 

Meanwhile, the pupils in the eyes disappeared somewhere leaving just the googly white base. 

Krystal mentioned that she showed her son the ‘before’ photo to “prove I wasn’t trying to traumatize him” and he said, “Yeah, that’s a REAL different lunch that the one I opened.”

Everyone in the comments had a good chuckle, even Krystal herself, who joked: “I couldn’t have created something this macabre if I’d TRIED”

She also added that “I don’t know if this makes me want to try twice as hard, or like… NEVER again.”

Other comments included: “This is horrifying. Your poor kid,” and another person called the creation, ‘threatening and ominous’.

“HAHAHHH this is the best. And sooo funny that your kid thought you purposely made it that way,” someone else chimed in.

Some people pointed out that the face looked like the Pringles man.

“The Pringles man has seen better days,” one user replied while another said, “He’s been through a lot.”

“That is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen,” a different woman claimed.

Another just said: “This is a crime scene.”

And this person laughed: “This looks like a ‘be good when you get home or else’ sort of warning.” 

Krystal replied adding, “Be good! …or else The Sightless Cheese Man will know???? and come to you in your dreams and take your eyes and mustache for his collection and when you wake up you never be able to digest lactose again…????????????????”
