Elon Musk is once again defending Russell Brand following allegations of sexual assault.
The British comedian, 48, was accused earlier this month in a Sunday Times exposé that alleged he raped and abused four women between 2006 and 2013.
The Tesla founder, 52, had a conversation on X Spaces with conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro on Thursday where they discussed Brand.
Musk gave his two cents, saying that there needs to be a “conviction.”
“It can’t be guilty until proven innocent. Because obviously we’re just sort of in the witch burning phase here; just being declared a witch is enough to make you a witch and be burnt,” the father of 11 explained.
The billionaire added that “anyone could be accused at any time of false charges, and we can’t be destroying their lives on the potential of false accusations.”
Musk further noted that the “Get Him to the Greek” actor “rattled the cage” of the “powers that be.”
He continued to state that the public should ask why the accusations against Brand are coming to light a decade after the incidents allegedly occurred.
“Seems like an odd coincidence that it’s happening when Russell is really gaining traction, questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom,” Musk wondered.
“I think we’re running out of conspiracy theories that didn’t turn out to be true,” he said.
The South African-born entrepreneur had previously expressed his support for Brand on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sept. 16.
On the social media platform, he penned: “There is more to this than meets the eye. If the concern is actually sexual predation in the entertainment industry, that is a very long list. Why Russell Brand now?”
“I support Russell Brand. That man is not evil,” Musk scribed.
Several other media personalities came to the defense of the “Rock of Ages” star, such as Andrew Tate.
“Welcome to the club,” the former professional kickboxer, 36, wrote on X, alongside a photo of a cartoon knight with the caption: “On my way to fight the crazy b—h allegations.”
