Jimmy Kimmel issued a final plea to voters Tuesday (Oct. 29) night on Live by addressing his opening monologue to Republican voters who may not usually watch his broadcast.

The late night host promised to keep away from his usual format of roasting Donald Trump for 15 straight minutes at the top of the show to appeal to Republicans who may be on the fence or at least willing to hear him out.

“Send this to a Republican you love as a request. Ask them to watch this whole thing as a personal favor to you and I promise I won’t make you regret this because it’s not going to be our usual roast of Trump or some kind of liberal virtue signaling, none of that,” Kimmel said.

“Times are less fun. We are a week away from an election and we are very divided, not just because of Donald Trump but because of people like, if I’m being honest, me,” he continued. “I do a lot of mocking and belittling and it isn’t always productive. Am I biased against Donald Trump? Yes. Do I think I have reason to be biased? Yes.”

The late night host went on to air several clips from interviews Trump completed over the years, including several interviews dating as far back as 2015 where he hinted at having a plan to abolish Obamacare, which he never seemed to deliver.

He also noted that Trump may not even accept the election results if they don’t go his way. “The one thing that makes this country a democracy more than anything else are free and fair elections of the people, by the people, and for the people,” Kimmel said. He later added, “This is ridiculous. How could we even have an election if whoever loses won’t accept the results?”

Kimmel concluded his plea with a reminder that any Republican voters looking to vote blue this year will not be alone in their decision.

“You won’t be alone. You have a lot of company because hundreds of prominent Republicans and dozens of members of his own administrations, generals, senators, his own chief of staff, I mean Dick fucking Cheney, all believe he is unfit to be president,” he pointed out. “This has never happened before.”

Even Trump’s “adoring, subservient” former VP Mike Pence “refuses to endorse him,” Kimmel stated. “I mean, it’s like if milk turned on cookies!” he exclaimed. “How much do you need?”

Kimmel went on to say that the stakes are high this election, with “sanity and security and democracy” on the line.

“It’s up to you,” he told viewers.
