A former Jets first-round pick is headed down the New Jersey Turnpike.&nbsp;

Offensive tackle Mekhi Becton has agreed to terms on a one-year deal that could be worth up to $5.5 million with the Eagles, pending a physical, <a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1784719562820223436" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported</a>.&nbsp;

Philadelphia offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland advocated for the Eagles to pursue Becton,<a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1784719856769679723" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Schefter added</a>.&nbsp;

Becton had been selected by the Jets with the 11th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and started 16 games for Gang Green in 2023.&nbsp;

The team had declined to pick up his fifth-year option in May 2023 making him a free agent at the conclusion of the the 2023 season.
