Drew Barrymore suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show — but she handled the mishap like a pro.

As cameras zoomed into the Drew’s News desk at the top of the episode, Barrymore had a defeated look on her face, while her trusty co-host Ross Mathews was cracking up on the other side of the table.

“You know what everybody? I just gotta keep it really real,” Barrymore said as she introduced the show. “I’m out here every day and I’m just so damn happy and you know what? I’m having one of those network moments. And look what I just looked down to see.”

The actress-turned-talk show host then stood up out of her chair and stuck her entire fist through the open fly of her pants.

“Of course, I’m just sitting here and my pants are open and I ran down here,” she said, to which Mathews joked, “It’s one of those days.”

According to Barrymore, she forgot to zip up her pants because she had just taken a much-needed nap.

“You know what I did, Ross? I took a nap,” she revealed. “I hate napping. I am judgmental towards nappers. But I was so tired I fell asleep. And you know what? Now I know why I hate napping. Because you can’t even zip up your own fly. This is what napping is. I’d rather just push through.”

This isn’t the first time Barrymore has declared her hatred of napping. While chatting with Martha Stewart during a December 2023 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the host revealed why the act “pisses [her] off.”

“I just — I had a relationship with a guy who just napped all the time. It made me sick to my stomach,” she said, per People. “Yeah, it just always — he was so tired all the time and had to nap all the time. It’s really about him.”

I wonder how often he forgot to zip up his fly.
