The Drew Barrymore Show reached new levels of bizarreness this morning as host Drew Barrymore shocked Ross Mathews by admitting she loved getting a colonoscopy.

It all started when Mathews joked that people aren’t adults until they have a colonoscopy, prompting Barrymore to confess that she “loved every minute” of when she had to go in for the routine procedure.

“Oh my God, a colonoscopy? They’re, like, the bomb. They’re the best!” she said, explaining, “First of all, let me tell you, there’s a prep involved. So for like 24 hours, you are literally vacuum-cleaned.”

The actress then left her desk as she reenacted the moment she walked into the doctor’s office.

“You literally walk in and you’re like, ‘I’ve never felt so good in my entire life! I have nothing in me!'” she exclaimed as she laid down on the floor.

Mathews appeared utterly shocked and confused as he called out, “No! What are you doing? What?!” However, Barrymore promised that she wasn’t going to do what he was thinking.

“Then you’re like, ‘Oh, and I get to be put out? Listen, Doc. Low and slow. Let’s really draw this sucker out,'” she said from the floor. “And then you wake up and hopefully, if you get good news, I consider it the best time ever.”

Barrymore added, “The only bad news is I was like, ‘Listen, Doc. This is the best time I’ve ever had. I feel amazing. When’s my next appointment?’ And he’s like, ‘In five years.’ And I was like, ‘What?!’ So, you know, that’s how I feel about colonoscopies. Now you know.”

Mathews, who was at a loss for words, finally replied, “I’m shocked,” before moving on to the next topic.

Things only got crazier when the co-hosting duo introduced a new segment called “A Breakfast Beauty,” in which they demonstrated how breakfast foods can double as skincare.

Barrymore kicked things off by squeezing a tube of mixed eggs into hair before rubbing overnight oats all over her face, which she ultimately licked off her lips. She then slapped some mashed avocado, lemon and honey onto Mathews’ cheeks and, eventually, her own as she also decided to massage the fruit into her hair.

“And as simple as that, we’re gorgeous,” Mathews concluded.

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
