Drew Barrymore revealed earlier this year that she was only 13 years old when she started getting tattoos — and on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, she showed off one of her early pieces of body art.

While filming from Formula One in Austin, Texas, Barrymore linked up with racing driver Daniel Ricciardo for one of her famed “Drewber” segments, in which she drives a guest around in a car. Once the motorsports pro entered her minivan, Barrymore showed him a side-by-side of their matching angel tattoos.

“I just wanted to show you this and see if you can tell whose was whose,” she said. “Look at the similarities of our tattoos! Who wore it best?”

Speaking of the angels they had inked on their skin, Barrymore added, “I was already so excited to meet you. But maybe we do seek angels to look over us as we live a little bit of a dangerous life. And I’m grateful that they’ve watched over me the way they have.”

According to the talk show host, she got hers done in Los Angeles when she was only 13 years old — a confession that shocked Ricciardo.

“Wait. You were 13 years old? Please tell me that’s your first tattoo,” he said, to which Barrymore admitted, “Nope. Nope. It wasn’t.”

When Ricciardo asked if it was legal, Barrymore enthusiastically replied, “No!”

For some background, Barrymore previously bonded with actress Dove Cameron over getting tattoos at an unusually young age.

“It’s so funny because I’m so torn. Like, now I’m 48 and a mom of two girls and it all comes full circle. [They ask], ‘When did you get your first tattoo?’ I’m like, … 13….'” Barrymore said, before later joking, “I love illegal tattooing!”

Cameron, who was only 14 when she got her first tattoo, noted that it’s “not” something she would recommend.

“This person who gave us the tattoo was like in somebody’s house, he had ordered it online, and he was like, ‘I have been practicing on oranges. I think I’m ready.’ [The tattoo is] horrendously ugly,” she said, to which Barrymore added, “So is mine! And the guy was named Shock. I should’ve known everything!”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
